Mrs. Velma Reese Hutchinson, age 92 of Bonaire passed away on Wednesday afternoon, March 27, 2019 at the home of her son in Warner Robbins, Georgia.

Born in Treutlen County she was one of five children born to the late Willie Vinson Reese and Liller Mae McCoy Reese. She grew up in Treutlen County and at the age of 21 married N. V. Hutchinson. The newlyweds moved to Dublin where they farmed for a few years before moving to Bonaire.

She enjoyed gardening and fishing and was Baptist by faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, who passed away in 1970, two brothers, Carlton D. Reese, Willie F. Reese and a sister, Louise R, Mims.

Mrs. Hutchinson leaves behind, two sons, N.V. Hutchinson Jr. (Connie), Bobby Hutchinson, all of Warner Robbins, GA, a brother, J. B. Reese, Clewiston, FL, three grandchildren, Lisa Johnson, Shanna Hutchinson, Scott Hutchinson, five great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Mike, Bobby, Stephen, Raven and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 29, 2019 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, at the funeral home, from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service.

Mrs. Hutchinson will be laid to rest beside her husband in Harmony Baptist Cemetery.
