Mrs. Vickie Marie McCumbers, age 62, beloved wife of Jackie McCumbers passed away on Wednesday morning, February 2, 2022 at their home.

Born in Lake Wales, Florida, she was born to the late Roscoe and Thelma Norris Lawrence.  Vickie grew up in Florida before moving to Waycross, Georgia where she met her future husband, Jackie McCumbers.  Vickie and her family moved to Soperton in the late 1970s where she and Jackie would marry in April of 1980.  She had worked for a short time as a Machine Operator at GFF before becoming a full time homemaker.

Vickie and Jackie attended Trinity Assembly of God in Soperton.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings, Roscoe "Jabo" Lawrence Jr., James Lawrence and Linda Lawrence.

Vickie leaves behind her husband of forty one years, Jackie McCumbers, Soperton, GA, a brother, Ronnie Lawrence, Lyons, GA and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from the graveside in Harmony Cemetery with Reverend Larry Hammond of Trinity Assembly of God officiating.

Vickie will be laid to rest beside her father and mother.

Her family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Sammons Funeral Home.
