Mr. Wilbur Gene "Bill" Joyner, age 74, beloved husband of Brenda Joyce Conner Joyner of Soperton passed away on Thursday morning, March 27, 2025 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia.

Born in Millen, Georgia, he was the youngest of four children born to the late Joseph Johnson Joyner and Margaret Burke Joyner.  At the age of eighteen, he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany until being honorably discharged.  Mr. Joyner had lived and worked in Metter and Cobbtown for a period of time before locating to Macon.  He was the plant Manager for Interstate Nuclear Services in Macon that rendered radioactive neutralization support services to local nuclear power plants to include Plant Hatch and Plant Vogtle.  He lived in Macon for many years until retiring and coming to Soperton.

He leaves behind: his wife, Brenda Conner Joyner, their sons, James "Brent" Joyner (Mindy), Powder Springs, GA, Jody Joyner, Soperton, GA, a sister, Linda Kight, Blythe, GA, two brothers, Harry "Bubba" Joyner, (Judy J.) Millen, GA, Joseph "Fuzzy" Joyner (Suk), San Antonio, TX, his beloved fur babies, Lil Wilp and Deja as well as many nieces and nephews.
