Mr. William Edwin "Ed" Hayes, age 65 of formerly of Manning, SC passed away at his home in Warner Robins on Thursday morning, September 30, 2021.

Born in Albany, he was one of six children in the family.  He grew up in Manning, SC where he was very athletic in high school.  Mr. Hayes was very competitive on the tennis court and on the golf course and won many associated tournaments.  He worked for many years as an Industrial Machine Technician and most recently for Kroger in Warner Robins.  He lived most of his life in Manning until moving to Warner Robins within the past 4-5 years.

He was Baptist by faith.

He is predeceased by his parents, William Carroll Hayes Sr. and Hildegard Gruner Hayes.

He leaves behind his siblings, Christie Wycoff (Robbie), Dahlonega, GA, Patricia Smith, Jacksonville, FL, William Carroll "Billy" Hayes Jr., Perry, GA, Angie Hayes McNure (Jerry), Warner Robins, GA, Michelle Powers (Henry), Manning, SC and several nieces and nephews.
