Mr. Willie Dean McGahee, age 75 of Soperton passed away on Thursday afternoon, March 6, 2019 at Scott Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was the last living of seven children born to the late Lindsey and Lou Amy Gillis McGahee. Willie Dean lived in Alachua County, FL for a number of years before returning to Soperton in the 1980s. He had worked as a Farmer and Machine Operator at GFF Manufacturing.

He enjoyed time spent with his friends at the Senior Center in Soperton and attending Hebron Holiness Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, James, Ben, Eugene, Herman and Maggie McGahee as well as Martha Barwick.

He leaves behind his son, Lindsey L. McGahee, Ailey, GA and a step daughter, Candy Fisher, Soperton, GA.

His family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, 2019 between the hours of 12 noon and 4:00 pm at Sammons Funeral Home.

Willie Dean will be laid to rest in Zaidee Advent Cemetery.
