Mr. Al Palmer, age 66 of Soperton, GA passed away on Monday morning, June 25, 2018 at the Treutlen County Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in the chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverends Ronnie Saxton, Jimmy Steptoe and William Pope officiating.

Mr. Palmer will be laid to rest in the family plot beside his sister, Judy, in Harmony Cemetery.

His family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Born in Soperton, he was one of three children born to the late Wilmer Francis and Dorothy Mae Jennings Palmer. Mr. Palmer had worked for a number of years with the State of Georgia Department of Transportation and most recently as a Carpenter and Vinyl Siding Installer with Alcoa Construction before retiring in 2007..

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Judy.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Palmer, sons, David "Swayde" Palmer, Glenwood, GA, Blaine Foskey, Soperton, GA, his brother, David "Phil" Palmer (Donna), Greenville, SC, three nephews, a niece and niece, Juliette Palmer Parker (Robert) and great niece, Julicia Parker.
