Mr. Winfred H. Thomas, age 84, of Scott died Monday, June 6, 2016.

Mr. Thomas was a lifelong resident of Johnson County and was preceded in death by his parents, J. B. and Lillian Donaldson Thomas, sister, Florence Lee, brother, Waland Thomas, and son-in-law, Lex Baker. He served in the United States Air Force and was retired from Civil Service, Robins Air Force Base, and the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, Dublin. He also was a retired school bus driver with the Johnson County Board of Education, and farmer. He was past Director of Johnson County Farm Bureau and was a member of Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene, East Dublin.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Hazel Watts Thomas; children, Anita (Hugh) Thompson of Garden City, GA and Harold Thomas of Scott; special daughter-in-love, Lisa Adams Thomas of Scott; grandchildren, Britney (Ryan) Crispin, Clay Thomas, Makayla Thomas, Mathew Thomas, Canaan Thompson, Beverly (Joe) Gamalero. Jeff Baker, and James Baker; and great-grandchildren, Gabe Thomas, Lilly Crispin, Liza Crispin, Jordan Baker, Natalie Baker, Levi Baker, and Alora Gamalero.

Funeral services will be held in Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 9, with Elder Hugh Thompson and Mr. Mike Franks officiating. Burial will be in Graham Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mathew Thomas, Canaan Thompson, Ryan Crispin, Clay Thomas, Austin Dixon, Mark Thomas, Don Hightower, and Andy Webb.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the funeral service and may be reached at the family residence.
