Mrs. Wynell "Nell" Hester McMichael, age 81 of Soperton passed away on Thursday afternoon, August 1, 2019 at the Scott Health and Rehabilitation Center in Scott, GA.
Born in Soperton, she was one of six children and the only daughter born to the late William Dewey and Trudy Branch Hester. She was raised in Soperton where she attended and graduated from high school. She lived in Jasper, Florida for many years before returning to Swainsboro, GA in 2003.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Fred Clements and Marvin McMichael, a son, Greg Clements and a grandson, Jonathan Clements.
Miss Nell leaves behind, a son, Joey Clements, Claxton, GA, a step daughter, Sheila Ozier, TN, brothers, Rayford Hester (Editha), Dublin, GA, Gene Hester (Edwina), Soperton, GA, Paul Hester (Sandra), Dublin, GA, Howard Hester (Ellen), Cedartown, GA, Truman Hester (Karen), Dudley, GA, grandchildren, Casey Clements (Alecia), Swainsboro, GA, Wayne Clements, Twin City, GA, Justin Clements, Vidalia, GA, J.J. Clements, GA, Rachel Roberts, TN, Ritchie Roberts, FL, several great grandchildren, including, Taylor Shaw and River James Clements and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 3, 2019 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Price officiating.
Mrs. McMichael will be laid to rest beside her husband in Westview Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Taylor Shaw, David Hester, Matthew Hester, Chase Giles, Tommy Davis and Terry Davis.
Her family will receive friends on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 10:00 am until the hour of service.
Her family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Scott Health and Rehab and to Affinis Hospice.
