Mrs. Yvette Marie Wood Mimbs, age 58 of Milledgeville, formerly of East Dublin passed away on Sunday afternoon, July 21, 2019 at the Serenity House in Dublin, Georgia.

Born to the late Donald Wayne and Shirley Marie Stewart Wood Sr., she grew up in East Dublin and has lived in Milledgeville for the past twenty five years. Marie had worked for the Rheem Corporation in Milledgeville until retiring in 2006.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandmother, Maggie Marie Dorsey, a brother, Donald Wayne Wood Jr and a grandson Billy Jobe Francis.

She leaves behind, her husband, James Emory Mimbs, Milledgeville, GA, children, Robbie Barron, Soperton, GA, April Snellgrove (Buddy), Milledgeville, GA, Maranda Francis (Robert), Dexter, GA, Don Elliott (Kathy), East Dublin, GA, uncles, Herman Stewart (Linda), Nathan Stewart (Kay Grinstead) of East Dublin, GA, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Pastor L.T. Logue officiating.

Mrs. Mimbs will be laid to rest in Westview Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, at the funeral home, from 10:00 am until the hour of the service and at the home of Bobby and Dot Williams in East Dublin following the service.
